Pink Reason is back with a raging slab of dark, desperate hardcore. The introduction of a full band lineup and studio recording makes this the first record of it's kind by Pink Reason and the band's first new record in over a year. Expanding upon territory first covered on their "Borrowed Time" single (Fashionable Idiots), the band has unleashed their most aggressive release to date with a sound reminiscent of early Husker Du, The Wipers and perhaps a hint of Totalitar. The B-side features a cover of "Your Girlfriend" by Columbus legends V3.

Cobbwebbed-basement mystery surrounds this early-80s "Wormtown" (Worcester MA) combo that dared (if they were even aware of it) to infuse proto-lo-fi post-punk sounds with drizzles of off-kilter psych and lashings of garage-pop melodicism -- all informed by an attitude that combined cryptic social digs, bone-dry wit and Dadaist pranksterism. Anthology Recordings (a one-time digital retailer of rare/collectible music) declared that The Prefab Messiahs "manage to perfectly execute the difficult joining of punk, psych, and garage." Some have waxed less analytical: in psych-legend Bobb Trimble's song "Armour of the Shroud", he wrote "Well the Rolling Stones come to town / don't throw the Prefab Messiahs out of bounds / God save those dreamers / they're all that's left sometimes." Now Almost Ready brings you the two lead-off tracks from the as-yet-unreissued Devolver album in a handsome 7" package.
