2 years ago they played Mad Planet.  It was kind of last minute.  It was just gonna be the regular crappy Queers, but Wimpy was doing the whole tour up until Chicago.  I think enough people found out about it and begged Wimpy to come to Milwaukee too.  It was pretty sweet.

wait a minute why was wimpy with the queers?
They've been playing together a lot as of late.  We played with them when they came through Milwaukee.  They played about a half hour of boring ass pop punk, and then Wimpy came out and they played another half hour of good stuff.

Saw the same thing happen in Boston a couple years ago, except Wimpy didn't get that much time. They played a whole long ass boring set, Wimpy came out, they did the whole Webelos EP, and the show was over.

Joe and Wimpy still record stuff together under the name the Drunken Cholos.  The stuff I heard didn't really do it for me, but it's still leagues better than anything the Queers did after Wimpy left.

That album Wimpy did with the Jabbers kind of sucked.

The Wimpyqueers thing in Milwaukee was pretty great. I think they did several shows on that tour with that line-up. The worst part was sitting through Poison Arrows or whatever that was, worst band I've seen in forever.
