Slovenly?  I like Pete and all but his track record is not too good. Those Lolite records blow and though they are good live the Losin Streaks stuff is pretty underwhelming.

I'd take Load & ITR above Slovenly. And for the punk rock faithful, I think C-IQ has put out some really good stuff.  White Denim is also pretty good.

The Stooges covers are actually pretty good, the highlights being Down on the Street and We Will Fall. You dont have to feel guilty about downloading it either (though I doubt any of you do feel guilt): It is a band member's website.

I actually just got my Electron LPs today. Check back later, I'll be apeshit over it then I'm sure. I think Shattered have done very well so far: steady release schedule, all quality shit. Douchemaster are up and coming, and I like what they've done. I think Goner has done really well this year as well: King Khan & BBQ, Chinese Crawfish, and Dutchmasters are all potential Top Ten material.

Seriously folks, it has been a while but I've nearly always been disappointed after buying a Munster record, Flies on Sherbert being an exception; however I wouldnt call Munster the shittiest. I think the shittiest are usually band or band-friend one-offs.

I agree. That's why I only mentioned those particular releases. Pete sends me records to spin at parties and I tell him 90% of the time that I think he's being fruity. I do like certain tracks on the lo-lite records though, and live they are fucking great. The Subsonics alb's are ok. Not as good as their earlier stuff. Seriously, look out for the Necessary Evils. It's gonna fuck you up.

The songs on the Lp are longer than anything on the singles. The recording sounds more like the Shattered single (which I actually liked better).

It's hard to describe. I has a meandering (not in a bad way) quality that makes it almost unlike anything I've heard in a while. Occasionally there's a chorus and catchy riff that will repeat for a while. Sometimes the screaming and noise take over. Me likey.

Young God has some pretty decent stuff. Even a otherwise boring band like Calla, when under the influence of Gira, managed to record some great songs.

The Ulan Bator record Ego/Echo or whatever it's called has a few tracks on it that are fuckin' savage!

And then of course you got Devandra Banhart and Angels of Light on there too.

Most of you would probably think it's gay though, cause in fact, yer the gay ones.

I dunno, I always wanted to check out Burning Man myself. I'm sure there is plenty of things to hate there, but it looks like it could be alot of fun.
