White Light/White Heat

I haven't heard this shit since high school until today...but what a brilliant fucking album.  It was always by far my favorite VU album, but I forgot just how good it is....and so far ahead of its time.  Unfortunately everyone I know prefers their self-titled '69 album....besides "The Murder Mystery" that album blows.

This is the only VU album I play frequently. I dont think anyone has captured that drug addled, confused 'still partying hawd at 5am' feeling as well as on Sister Ray. Killer riff too. As for the frequently quoted 'worst recorded album in r'n'r history', that's completely insane. It's perfectly recorded.

Serious LOL @ "The Murder Mystery" being the ONLY good song on s/t.

This bands entire catalog is nothing short of amazing.

Sucks that it's the future and I have to go on the internet after getting home and see that a guy obsessed with the band: Black Lips is describing the Velvet Underground as "tru gangsta" after a guy says that "The Murder Mystery" is the only song on the self-titled VU record

Yup. I just don't have any coherent response to this stuff. Just gotta take a deep breath and move on.

Okay, maybe it was an exaggeration to call "The Murder Mystery" the ONLY good song on VU '69, but a good chunk of that album is straight-up twee shit.

Vinnie, remember when you had gold teeth and were totally copying the guy from the Black Lips?  That was awesome!

This is the Pop-Punk thread to end all Pop-Punk threads.  Let's run it into the ground.

Pray tell, nowigotworry: just how far ahead of its time is WL/WH?  Like, twenty minutes?  Twenty years?

Also, this is choice:
vinnie is OG wigger
