Darlings of clueless UK publicists, indie promoters and music journos, they're on a monthly retainer from One Little Indian to do badly rehashed anarcho music for the indie crowd.  The singer writes for Vice and his dad is Alan McGee, although he's insistent that they worked hard to get where they are (i.e. getting signed before playing their first gig).  Anyhow I'm not here to lecture about the co-option of punk or anything, I just thought I'd share the hilarity of these interviews:

anyway, yeah, i read all the links and listened to the song and watched the video. they certainly talk way too much, and probably are a bunch of rich kids, but they don't sound bad at all.

Don't think that I've heard of One Little Indian Records but my first thought was, "Wasn't that the name of a Crass single or something??"

Its true they're not particularly bad, but not they're not particularly good either.  They sound like the kind of generic capital "P" punk band that every city has, the kind that never tour and self-release CDs.  Very confusing that anyone thinks this might be the "next big thing".  Just thought it was funny that they claim that they're "outsiders" when they all have music industry connections, get paid a monthly salary by their label just to be in a band, are going on tour with Morissey and got signed before playing a gig.  Oh, they're also the "closest thing to a real punk band around".
