i don't understand all that Dwarves bashing. The last record was pretty shit, i admit (though i even like a few cuts of "must die"), but i like everything they did before that! The Dwarves are young and good looking might be my fave album by the band and i even like come clean a lot.
Saying that they peaked with "Horror stories" is hilarious imo!
Last time i saw them live (2years ago?) they were still great, too.

Sugarfix was like New Traditionalists for me: didn't totally dig it the first few times I listened to it because it was more polished than the earlier stuff. Then after years of wearing the early stuff out I gave it another chance and now they're both in the Top 10.

Back to the novelty studio produced punk at hand. I might buy it.

I don't think that Horror Stories is that special anyway but I love BG&P and Are Young And Goodlooking.

I'm most into the stuff between the garage period and the BG&P/Thank Heaven period, "Lucifer's Crank" and whatnot. "Horror Stories" is definitely "special" for garage from that time period, much higher energy level and less trad than most. I guess it's like the Scientists, if you don't like power pop you think the swamp stuff blows it away (or vice versa) when in reality they were successful across multiple stylistic changes, just like the Dwarves.
