Magic the Gathering
« on: June 20, 2011, 05:32:14 AM »
Anyone play? I started about a year and a half ago. Im very casual about it (not a total nerd).I have a few decks I have built but not many people to play with. If anyone lives in Philly and wants to play a few hands drop me a line.

Not sure why this is "pop punk" and not non music? Last time I check these cards sounded nothing like the Queers.

I was working a metal fest a few weeks ago, and one of the out of town bands were in the Hi Tone back room playing this until they went on.

Na I have been here years I know the drill. I just think its dumb. Wouldnt it make more sence to have a overflow of non music shit rather then moving stuff that admin dont like into a music sub field. I just dont get it thats all.

Nope. Pop-Punk is a value judgment.

it would make sense, which is precisely why it wouldn't make any sense. it's supposed to be a joke. it's okay, don't be sore just because you got pop punk'd. it happens.
it's all bullshit, and it's bad for ya.

shit that looks like me when i was 13.

i tried to get into pogs when they were popular. i think i purchased some on two different occasions. i couldn't get into collecting them like baseball cards because i didn't care about the random cartoony bullshit on the faces. the game then seemed pointless and was really boring. not sure if i ever actually played the game.

BUT...

i recently found a special edition SLAMMER that i vaguely remember buying at wal-mart when i was a kid. it's a bronze-ish, saw blade-shaped, metal slammer commemorating O.J. simpson's high speed chase with the cops. the heads side has a cartoon engraving of O.J. behind bars, with the words "O.J. IN THE SLAMMER" across the bottom, and "GUILTY ? INNOCENT" near the top. there's also a tiny football which appears to have been punted, as the word "BOOOM" attaches to it with motion lines. for some reason O.J. is smiling. the tails side shows the bronco being chased by the cops and a helicopter, and interstate 405 and 91 signs, and says "O.J. the CHASE." on the bottom of this side it says "6/17/94 collector's edition."

i found it at a box of my old shit a year ago when i was at my mom's house. i've been carrying it in my pocket most days.
it's all bullshit, and it's bad for ya.
