I've always meant to go, after so many years of buying from Jamie or trading with him at WFMU and other shows.  If the Brooklyn contingent was willing to trek it out to Jersey City on the PATH train, I could drive.  It would have to be on a weekday.

Someone please remind me after the 4th of July and I'll try to pick an appropriate day to play hooky from work.

Cool. I'd really like to go. The question of money is always hovering of course. But if I could scrape together even a hundo +, it'd probably still be worth it. I'll just sulk in the corner while you guys scoop bonzers.

This is the greatest record store ever.  The front counter is alike a popsike page in the flesh.

like everyone else has said, this is the best record store i've been to. worth the trip, but last time i was there he didn't have nearly the amount of crazy stuff that was there when i went with user: dan celebrity. i remember flipping through the records up front and the first things i saw were both neos 7"s just hanging out and then i saw the soa 7" on green and i almost shit my pants. great store, super nice dude. highly recommended, probably my 2nd favorite though cause my minds eye has a special place in my heart.

DD was closed when we passed thru allentown.  guess i should have called the guy...it was a sunday.   always heard stories of this place, but My Minds Eye is basically why i opened a shop here.  i can only hope/work hard enough to be a fraction of how awesome MME is.  unfortunately, my best customers are big fans of bands like Bon Iver (never heard 'em and have no plans to).  so i gotta spend a lot of my resources keeping them happy.  scoring decent used collecrtions is very competitive here, too...and in a small town, thats not good.  still, great stuff falls in my lap every so often...then the struggle begins to put a price tag on it or take it home...

A good time was had by all.  Records were purchased and traded for.  Princeton Record Exchange still sucks.

See the Recent Acquisitions thread.
