let me put it this way:

a 15 year old girl could have kicked this guy's ass.  the truth is he wasnt a threat to anyone, not even a little bit.  if he said some sick shit he was provoked into it.  some 15 year old girls are whores, if he thought she was interested in him and he went for it he is stupid and nothing more.  he was in his mid 20s not an old man.  15, 18, he made a bad choice.  if it had been a real girl and he met her in person i think he would have been scared of her, seriously.  and if they had met and fucked, i still figure, victimless crime.  i believe slutty 15 year olds are capable of consent.  like i said, i would have more respect for him if he had just met a 15 year old and fucked her, its the internet aspect of it that makes it creepy to me, he had to have known about those dateline type stings and it still wasnt enough to make him stop, that was his mistake.  he is nothing close to a potential rapist, i feel more sorry for him than anything.  not a violent guy, at all.  personally i think its a bullshit law.

manager in a punk band is the guy who lets you play the keggers in his basement and lets you practice there the rest of the time.  he is also the guy who signs the slip to rent you some gear when you need it.  might even get you stoned and get you paid a couple bucks when you play.  also is old enough to buy you booze and has a vehicle to get you to gigs.  helps set up gigs.

i have been with my wife for over a decade she is familiar with my feelings on this to the point i have no doubt she could recite them to you herself.  some 15 year old girls are little angels, some are total whores.  she knew me when i was a teenager, and when i was 15 i had sex with all kinds of 15 year old whores.  i could care less who fucks a 15 year old whore, that in itself does not make someone a rapist just because they are above an arbitrary imaginary measurement, ie: age.

you've posted more than one thread over the years called "raping the tape vault" and so i know this is not volume 1.

i know rj knew about the dateline sting things because shortly before he got busted there was a thread on the goner board about that show, and he was poking fun at the dudes who were getting caught, cause you'd have to be stupid to get caught.

i also don't think todd's chickenshit for not putting out the record. fine if you do, though.

also, i am still friends with todd, he can do what he wants with his money but i dont think there would have been a huge amount of sales either way, and i seriously doubt rj getting busted would have made much of a difference one way or another. 

i respect his decision but i will continue to drunkenly refer to it as "chicken shit"
