What about "Tha Crossroads" video with the angelic form of Eazy E watching them approvingly? Tell me that's not one of the greatest artistic achievements of the nineties right there. It's at least the most poignant moment in popular music video until Puff Daddy's classic "I'll Be Missing You."

first EP that came out when Eazy E was co producing and the following first full length are hard as fuck. Everything else is mostly just r n b garbage fuck jamsz.  But you definitely seem to have some opinion...

Hell yeah.

Discogs is the best spot for used rap records, IMO. The market for that shit really bottomed out after Serato came out.

i listened to that creepin song and it's as awful as i imagined.

i like plenty of biggie actually. gimme the loot is the shit! and embarrassingly i got into him through the notorious movie. i don't like any of the smooth stuff he did, but he did the boom bap perfectly when he wanted to.

by the way, the version i know of "loot" is harder than this one:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kX5xt90kMA

can you point me to the mix you think i'm looking for?

maybe your thinkin of the O.G. edition? shits hard.

I do wanna get that Steady B Let the Hustlers Play LP again. Parted with it in 1992 in a massive purge to buy textbooks. What a waste, huh?

Another Philly record from the same era is on my wants list....Original Stylin by Three Times Dope.

I still use that phrase "from the giddy-up" because of that album.
Does anyone dare still say something is "acknickulous"? WTF did that mean, really?

i don't recall f.f. being very good, but they were part of that whole "project blowed" scene that had tons of good stuff like aceyalone, and this classic from dolla holla:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0XnZIPKHNY

and this one from abstract rude and tribe unique:

i loved this at the time, and still think it's good, but i can totally see where BTH took this somewhere else and made it completely un-hip.
