Larry, you wanna listen to my tape-deck experimentation?  I used a channel of audio that was overloaded and made it spry.  Ramshackle punk like the Oh Sees is the result.

HAHA! It's tempting but, at this point, my roster is pretty full. I'm reserving any space I have left in my release schedule for a band who can deliver an album that will be 2012's equivalent to the Damned's "Machine Gun Etiquette". Yes, I require my artists to aspire to that kind of velocity from here on out.

I know Fat Possum have moved on to bigger and significantly worse things, but what a shame that their impressive blues catalogue was ignored in favour of name dropping Wavves (and some band named Tennis?).

Glad I don't run a label so I have zero way of being on a list like this.

I wonder how many of these temporary boutique imprints have actually sold as many records as Havoc or Prank?

De Stijl is the most surprising inclusion, I think.  Excellent label, it just seems odd because their releases are mostly rather uncommercial.

PITCHING STRATEGIES...ha. If you need to go to Billboard's website to find out how to get in touch with any of these labels you are probably much more if a CATHER than a PITCHER if ya know what I'm saying.

I'm saying you take it up the ass is what I am saying.

With the velocity of, say, The Damned.
Neil Young's coke booger from the Last Waltz. I bought it at an auction of rock memorabilia
