theoretically, options 1 and 2 should be added together when counting votes since they both equate to an inability to access termbo.  KEEPIN IT LEGAL.

Doherty bears a passing resemblance to Dee Dee King in that photo.

I still miss macseries.

macseries has been doing this thing for the last 6 months or so where he refuses to type "w" and insists on typing it "vv" instead, EVERY TIME.  I am thankful to termbo for being a sanctuary from this tic.  If you really miss him he is currently very into Google+.

after the guitar battle the ultimate fate will be the drum-off
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDY_o2rQLow&feature=related

Officer Brad's going to win.

If you type "B r a d" into this it automatically changes it to Officer Brad"???! This is incredible! haha

i barely play drums so it wouldnt be a competition.  if we did a drum-off then we'd have to do a piano duel and bass duel but thats just gay

i feel you. but usually bands actually put out a few classic records before they go saying "I'm pretty good at playing music"...
huh, i would never put out even one album before i knew i was good at playing music.

The Hussy only have 1 album out, are you saying youre not good at playing music yet? if so, youre being too hard on yourself man, you guys rule (as much as you wanna be modest, you must know, deep down, that you rule)

The Hussy have 3 7"s and an LP out (with another LP and 4 more singles coming in 2012). I still don't think I'd be caught on Termbo making some statement like "I'm great at playing music" ever really. I just think there's no tact in that. Not to mention I'd rather have my merits go noticed/talked about by other individuals since it means a lot more than some kid blasting that his own band rules. That's the difference between Midwest Charm and East Coast Gall.

If you want a guitar off, you gotta be willing to make it a whole "band off" sorta thing. If Officer Brad can play 2 instruments good enough (and I would say Officer Brad is a great guitar player and a pretty good drummer) to be in many bands then I think that's more important than just being really fucking good at just guitar. There are a million good guitar players in the world. It DEFINITELY doesn't mean their bands are good/write good songs. They are NOT connected in any sorta way at all. I've seen more great bands with mediocre guitar players than great bands with amazing/slaying/technically proficient guitar players. It's about the songs. Obviously you think bands should be judged solely by their guitar player, which honestly is really stupid (but sorta makes sense that this would be your opinion since you have such a high-opinion of yrself...the guitar player of the band).

The difference is that Officer Brad has paid his dues, and proven that he has musical talent. You are still working yr way up to that...which is going to be a long and difficult battle while you continue to act like yr shit don't stink. Have some humility.

lots of bands put out records before they know/knew they were good at playing music, and many of those bands could be called seminal punk bands.

i put out my first record in 1996, i was 17, and the last copy i put up for sale less than a month ago sold for $50 and was paid for in less than an hour after i posted it.  currently i have played on 18 unique vinyl records (not counting reissues) the last of which came out several weeks ago.  i am proficient on guitar, bass, drums and keyboards, i can play country, rock, rockabilly, jazz, blues, etc.  i choose to play the music i do because it is what is most satisfying to me, i could just as easily be doing anything else.  i might not be joe satriani as far as skill is concerned, but i can do a damn good hendrix any day of the week.  as far as drums, many people think i am a better drummer than guitarist, but i havent practiced regularly or been in a band playing drums in many years, but again, i am fluent and have been trained in jazz and rockabilly styles, i can read music, i know theory, etc.  if i wanted to play covers i could probably be quite successful already, but to me, doing that is more painful than a tooth extraction without anesthetic.  when THE ONIONS first started we did some covers and played for general audiences, that was a year and a half ago since we started concentrating on our originals more, and i can honestly say i would rather play for three cool people than a huge "general audience" type crowd.  my brain is full of fuck.

i am a lifer.  i will be this way until i die.  i have dedicated my life to this music.

ok so youre saying you are good at playing music but youre too tactful and charming to say so on termbo.   that is smart, you are probably right... i should shut up until weve proven ourselves more.  but its not like i go around bragging all the time.. i only defended the band when i was being called out.  i bet not one person that was talkin shit about us has ever seen us play, haha.

youve made some assumptions that are totally untrue. i DONT think bands should be judged solely by their guitar player, that is really stupid!  its all about the songs, technical ability dont mean shit.  this whole 'guitar duel' thing is sort of a joke you know? its all about the songs baby!!!  the songs and how the band plays em.  Clapton was dog shit without Jack Bruce and Ginger baker.  Dylan is the rippingest fuckin drummer and G is the best bassist ive ever played with.  they make all my songs sound awesomer than they should.  shit what was that about me shutting up about my band?

i think that you have the wrong impression of me, that im just a douchey guitar player that thinks he is god. sure i havent proven myself and paid my dues like Officer Brad, i dont have a massive vinyl discography, so in that sense Officer Brad wins the 'band off'.  but ive played a few different instruments in a few different bands, played synth and fronted a horror punk band RED POP, played bass in the SEEDHEADS, ive writtten lots of songs, and played lots of shows in my shitty little town.

trust me i know the enthusiasts got a long ways to go, we got 2 7"s out and some comp releases, and we played a ton of shows this year but we really aint proven shit!!  were gonna be workin harder than ever in 2012, recording the album this winter and touring this summer, im just so psyched to keep on playing forever and ever and if i end up like officer Officer Brad i will be happy!  from now on i will try to keep the bragging at a minimum because it is obnoxious and counter-productive!  wow this post is long!!!!  bye!!!!!
