Congratulations Jay,

Your new record is a platform for Europe vs. the US.

Erick: I heard the old versions too, and they're good, but this is equally good, maybe you just got used to those recordings?

As far as the rest of you I don't know what you're hearing that makes you react so negatively. I just listened to it again to make sure, and I don't see what it is. Losin' my touch I guess. I think it's recorded really well and the songs (more important) are fucking good with interesting changes and (gasp) hooks.

Everyone's entitled to their opinions, of course, but to call this a "turd" is fucking dumb. You bought the fucking record, presumably after hearing some of the tracks via MySpace or whatever and now you stink the joint up with your bullshit comments. Why did you buy it? You knew what it was. I can only assume you just want to trash-talk, regardless of what you think of the record, REALLY. Yawn.

the record is great, i'm hearing it like everyday. it's really catchy, the only song that is a bit worse than the rest is "my family" for me. the others are just killer punk rock. i don't know what you were waiting.. but is good punk rock that don't sound generic

I'm not reading 9 pages of this bullshit, but wasn't it only one person ragging on the record? Two? Everyone I know loves it.

i haven't been able to stop listening to terror vissions record since i first heard it in april!  i'm just glad that now i can play it/tape it off for other people.  good job jay.  i don't even need to hear the new river city tanlines to know that it can't even compare.

i still haven't heard the new kk & bbq album...i'm thinking i'll like it though.....they'll be here next week so i'm just gonna wait until then.....

new kk/bbq is great, the first track is weak but the rest is great. i can't get enough of 'why don't you lie?"

i haven't really absorbed the jay reatard lp yet, theres a few tracks that stick out in my mind, some filler. i'm gonna give it another listen to it today.

Surprised you dont like "Treat Me Like A Dog" (1st song) - thats one of my favorites on there.  Why Dont You Lie does rules though, along with most of the LP.

And yeah , I think most people ended up liking both LPs besides one or two - thats pretty damn good considering how much taste can vary on here.

Jay's record wont be a platform for Europe vs America.
A bunch of professional journo's I know like it a lot, so it's gonna be at least an 'end of the years list hit'.

Haven't heard any comments by euro-peasants yet.

I guess I assumed he played it all, but some of those tunes are Marked Men tight (sounds like a well-practiced band that can really play), which is mind-boggling to a bad musician like myself. If he had to work from drums up and played everything himself, it'd make me appreciate it even more.

With all the crazy drum machines and VERY REAL sounding drum loops for computers today I've been curious to know how much of the record used that. It's pretty easy to play with a drum track but seems tough to lay the track down in the first place.

Well I recorded all the drums to a tape machine with no music at all ... Just the song ideas in my head  ... Brought that back to Alix's apartment in Atlanta... Overdubbed all the guitars her bass and back up vocals (on one song )and my vocals in her apartment ..The whole time her Jazz nerd neighbor downstairs beat on the ceiling and freaked out (keep in mind the amp I used was 10 watts).... Moved back to Memphis mixed the record  in my bedroom... No fancy tricks no fancy editing ... Just a  guitar player who plays drums and bass and sings .. You know simple stuff...I think they call it Punk Rock ???
