I listen to equal amounts of rockabilly/ r'n'b and spage age now sound a go go shit. It just depends on what drugs I'm on when I choose which one I wanna here. And yeah, mods lok alot cooler. I love scooters, but I love a bucket T as well. Have you dudes ever heard of "swirlies?" It's a mod subculture that's realy into psych-ey shit and sitars. I love that music too but still... gay! What do
'66 garage types get called? "Garage people?"

a lot of mod music is pretty fuckin rockin. but scooters are fucking gay. levi's and a t-shirt appeal to me more than looking like a throwback to the british invasion. psychobilly wil probably be the next big fashion fad, at least amongst hipsters.

Me too, but you gotta admit, ther'es some really groovy mofos out there that know wht they're doing, and it's pretty cool to see 'em out. I tihnk it can really add to the atmosphere of a good party, I just can't do it myself.

Yeah I gotta a buddy who rocks an ascot, and of course when I first met him I kinda wanted to choke him with it, but as I got to talking to the cat I realized he was a pretty tough nut to have the balls to wear it. After all Pete Townsend rocked an ascot?!? He also told me he had gotten into fights with drunk tough guys over it at the bar...go figure.

In 2004, around the 40th anniversary of the Mod-Rocker battles royale held in Brighton (like in "Quadrophenia"), the BBC invited a beer-gutted original 1960s rocker in his leathers and on his bike; and an aged, original mod, in his spiffy clothes and on his Vespa, to come speak.  At the end, the presenter asked the two to shake each others' hand... and they both refused!
