I know this is an old thread but I don't feel like starting a new one.

I'm subleasing my bedroom in Williamsburg, BK for six months starting in February.  It's an amazing place, I'm only moving because I got laid off from my job and it's no longer practical for me.  Please pass along this information to anyone who you think needs it.  Thanks!

Roommate is 30-ish dude who works in the muzik industree, very nice dude and easy to live with.  He writes songs on piano so there is a beautiful Wurlitzer in the living room.  First floor of a quiet three story house with a front yard, back yard and basement.  Shared large kitchen and living room, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 separate entrances so it's maximum privacy and maximum daylight as well. The bedroom has three huge windows and a large closet and a private bathroom with a tub. 3 minute walk to the Graham Ave. L train and across the street from a beautiful garden where there are 30 kinds of roses, hydrangeas and a canopy of big old trees.  Park with a dog run at the end of the block.  Rare find.  $1300/month  PM me if you need more info.

Good coffee is essential.  I really am moving into my parents' house though.  Down the street from our friend in the Livids actually! Will commute 90minutes every couple days and couch surf or air bnb when I have to go to shows or studio gigs.  For all the bands I've put up over the years- I know there is some couch karma out there for me!  Ill do it till I save up $3k for a computer upgrade and pay off a few credit cards.  Im just so sick of the criminal rents in Wburg/Gpoint and I like trees too much to move to b'wick.  Maybe I'll do a few more tours and travel jobs this year if I don't have to worry about rent.  Maybe I'll check out some local bands in Trenton, NJ. Lol- not! This won't be acceptable when I'm 30, so I better take advantage of it now.

Huh?  Where?  Not that I really dig Stumptown (it seems like they really wanted tea, but somehow made coffee) but it would be good to know.

Hey, Dave- long time no see.  The old Beauty Bar by Myrtle/Broadway which has changed names a bunch the past year plus, now known as Skytown.  I can't quite tell what they're going for, maybe a brunch spot but sort of trying to be a Friends viewers' bar in an edgy 'urban' setting?  No espresso, just French Press.  Worst, whitest, nu-soul (?) music, it's a strange vortex w/ better coffee than the bodega when i don't press my own.  It doesn't seem like it'd be fun to drink or eat there.

I've always liked Stumptown, a more soothing medium roast rather than the usual dark roast that most gourmet brands go for.

We have Silent Barn now too.

it's time to move back to brooklyn (or queens).  currently looking for a room.  a cheap one, maybe for 6 months, not interested in signing a lease if it can be avoided.  saved up some money living at my parents' house and landed a couple lucrative advertising gigs, would love to find the right situation where i can pay for 6 months up front as a sublet, does that ever happen?  if anyone has any ideas, let a girl know!  gracias.

I get to play DJ tomorrow nite...

Wednesday 12.11.13
@ Alaska https://maps.google.com/maps?safe=off&client=firefox-a&ie=UTF-8&q=Alaska&fb=1&gl=us&hq=alaska+bar+ingraham&cid=4410729254085129132&ei=KcenUrT2DIaLqQHu74DQCA&sqi=2&ved=0CIoBEPwSMAs
35 Ingraham St, Brooklyn, NY 11206
(at Morgan, in Bushwick)

Loco Joe is the bartender. He owns the entire Stompin' series - on CD - which is not bonkers, it's Loco.

Stephanie says it's so cold in Alaska, but these jamz be damn hot.  (insert A. laugh track, B. groan, C. gong, D. dee pee pee)

http://www.firegiver.com/alaska.html Sadly do not have the Dry Rib 'Alaska' 45 but an approximation will be played over the course of the nite to be later reconstructed in brains using time lapse vérité and fragmentary memory over the course of an unspecified amount of bodega sushi liaisons.
