Last I heard, I'm officiating it, but that may have changed.  I'm pretty much the fattest person in California, so I'd say I'd at least place if I competed.  That said, I tend to eat for distance rather than speed.

Mitch, you like the ass butter. That's the kind of butter you like. Dont even try to say different.

Stork Club FAQs

Here's some answers to some questions I've been asked alot lately:

1. Q: Is the Stork Club closing?
A: No, not to my knowledge.

2. Q: Are you still booking the Stork Club?
A: As of Sunday I am no longer working for the Stork Club in any capacity.

3. Q: What happened to you buying the Stork Club?
A: I fuked-up. Instead of taking charge of the matter sooner, I left too much of the responsibility for getting the deal done with Wes, and while I was waiting, the person who owns the building, sold the building to the people who own the Korean Market. That development made an already sketchy deal look plain bad. Or, in other words, I didn't think it would be a good idea to borrow a bunch of money to buy a bar that could possibly lose money in the end.

4. Q: Did the Korean Market buy the Stork Club?
A: No. The Korean Market bought the building that the Stork Club is located in. The Stork still has a few more years on their lease.

5. Q: Is the Stork Club still for sale?
A: I don't know.

6. Q: Is the Stork Club not going to be "cool" anymore?
A: I think that the Stork Club will be "cool" as long as people keep putting on good shows there, and people attend. If you're interested in booking you can contact the new booker, Joel, at:
storkcluboakland@yahoo.com

7. Q: What are you gonna do now?
A: Go to more shows, do more with my own music, and hopefully get a job in San Francisco bartending somewhere that has live music.

Thanks to everyone who helped get shit done at the Stork. We wouldn't have had such a good run if I didn't have a hundred people who I could count on to help book shows, bartend, bar-back, DJ, work the door or sound, play, or just show-up.
I owe you all a drink or two.

I'm gonna go sit outside now and enjoy the fact that I don't HAVE to do anything.
