I posted a review elsewhere of the show I saw in April. His book turned out to be good.
"I saw him in Vancouver on Sunday night, and thought he was great! He still has lots of energy and intensity, and even his newer material that I'd never heard was interesting noisy pop stuff. Performance-wise, I'd say it was in the same vein as a Jonathan Richman show, with the mid-song storytelling breaks (in time with the music and all, kinda beat-y if that makes sense). Worth the $12, for sure. I bought his book, but all I can tell from the first few pages is that he's very blunt."
