I did a walk through on my way to the studio yesterday.  Really depressing, mostly for the lack of daylight.  Looks like it belongs in a mall.

The show space looks nice enough though, with couches and ping pong tables on the mezzanine level.  I'll bite my tongue on hating it too much until I actually see a show there.

The Rough Trade off Brick Lane in London is hellish and gross. My condolences to the citizens of New York for having to suffer such a canker in their midst.

I haven't been or seen photos but I can almost promise there's a skate ramp.

It fits the active lifestyle of the NOW generation - sponsored by Go-Gurt.

What a shitshow.  Heard nothing but bad things about it -- poor selection, ugly, overpriced, no skate ramp -- and the fuck-up with the noise levels is nuts.  Shit, man, get some acoustic tiles up in that bitch, yknowhutamsayin?  I heard they were planning this for three years.  Yeah, if by "planning this" you mean "smoking reefer" LOLOL

I like how the article mentions this is "their first USA location." Uh, they had a place on 6th St in SF starting in 1982, then moved up to Haight and lasted til about '93.

6th Street wasn't even the 1st RT  store--they were in North Beach (1412 Grant) at least a year or two before their move down to 326 6th St. Look at your back cover of "Wanna Buy A Bridge"
