Greetings. 11 years ago in Millville, Cape Breton Island, I played in a band called the Teenage Hurricanes. We were in our late teens at the time so we didn't play anything much beyond allages shows and the occasional trainwreck pub show. Millvilles closest city is Sydney (Pop: 30,000) so suffice to say, our songs didn't reach many people at the time.

We recently had a few early demos thrown up on Soundcloud though. We never had any internet presence before, so why the fuck not, I'm sharing it.

James Tarr (RIP) of the Abusive Stepdads did a cassette release at some point...so somewhere in Romania a GoreGrind kid already hates us.

Anyways, we liked Teengenerate, the Dictators, General John Cabot Trail and Codco...if that means anything.

Thanks for reading/listening, and still, fuck the mainland. Fuck it right in its ass.
Tyler

Hah, yeah... I think I made this thread during my month of sobriety last year. Needed to keep busy. I think you and Nick-B were the first people we've met outside of
Cape Breton that asked about those recordings. You know, aside from my parents.

cool! Is there any demos that you guys made? Would love to hear those. It was hard for the group of us to discover cool contemporary stuff during that period. We would've loved to have played in Montreal, but the idea of going any further than Halifax or Moncton didn't even seem plausible then. I think there's two or three other ones not up somewhere. I'll try and find them. Thanks for listening.

Thanks again for the air time. General John Cabot Trail would be proud(disgraced).
