It's not as complicated as any of you are making this out to be. I've always been bisexual, since I was a child. This is not something I've ever denied or kept particularly hidden. Most people who have been close to me a long time know this. The story you mentioned Officer Officer Officer Brad was an isolated incident. It was my parent's neighbor and it was a middle aged stereotypical gay man, not the type of person I've ever been attracted to. He obviously sensed I was queer, which is typical, this is something that some men have been able to pick up on since I was a child.
Really though, I find it somewhat odd that anyone would want specifics or question me on how I identify. Imagine if the tables were turned and a man in a room said "I'm not gay, I'm straight" and then someone brought up a story of a man being able to maintain an erection with a particular woman, so he couldn't be straight. Incidentally, there has been multiple occasions in my life when I couldn't maintain an erection with a woman.
User: Krautrockisdead identifies as gay, if I'm not mistaken, also if I'm not mistaken he mentioned never having had sex with a man. I could be wrong about that, perhaps I misread. Not really my business, I don't give a fuck. By some of your logics, he may not actually be gay, right? I mean, if he's not currently actively fucking a man, how can one really be sure?
Also, how can one be sure that any of you who are in committed relationships with a woman are actually straight? Are you fucking other women? If not, how do we know you're actually into women at all? Maybe you're not fucking the woman you're with. Maybe you're doing it poorly, without passion. Maybe you can't maintain an erection. Maybe they're not a woman at all.
The idea that "in this day and age" people can exist on a gradient is absurd. Sexuality has existed on a gradient always, people are just finally able to discuss it more openly than they were in the past, but not with the help of attitudes like some of those shown in this thread.
