Scan of Mick Collin's liner notes in the Blacktop cd
« on: November 17, 2016, 05:05:20 PM »
I never thought of asking for this here until the Ex thread below. I own all the records (I might be missing one single), so I feel no need to buy the cd. However, I have heard the liner notes are great and would love to read them. Thanks.

They are great. Unless yr name is Darin Lin Wood.

Have the LP, used to have the CD as well. Should've kept it cuz I've never picked up any of the singles, and they are great esp. that double. Also, I think that's one of the loudest-mastered CDs I've ever had. It was fucking brutal, all that feedback pinning yr ears to the wall. Love it.

Surely if you google image search, something turns up?

There's actually no liner notes in the booklet - just photos and song titles... Was there another version?

The In The Red Discography cd? That's the one I'm talking about.

Edit: I think I see the confussion. The "Complete recordings" cd has the same name as the ITR album. The liners are in the "Complete Recordings" version.

Are we talking about "If You Don't Already Have a Look?"

I just realized I've never even read the liners but I'll be doing that this weekend now.

That is the Dirtbombs. There was a cd called "Up All Night" and I Got A Baaad Feelin' About This which included it and the singles on the ITR and had the booklet by Mick.

Okay, cool. Didn't know about that Mick Collins project but just ordered the CD and am looking forward both to hearing and reading.

Off topic but in keeping.....
The Namanax CD Multi Phase Electrodynamics is the loudest mastered CD I've ever heard. Speaker destruction at even low volume - https://www.discogs.com/Namanax-Multi-Phase-Electrodynamics/release/516822

Yes, thanks!  Been scouring the internet since this thread appeared.  Of particular interest since I lived in the D/FW area at that time.

EDIT: Great/terrible story - made me feel bad for Mick and Alex.  Thanks again!
