Where is the picture of the middle aged fat guy in an old Anti Nowhere League tee shirt, buying early 80s Italian hatecore on discogs, and telling everyone there hasn't been a good punk band since Minor Threat broke up?
Who'd want to be considered a punker at all? Wasn't this a term originating in the 80s used by people outside the scene totally unfamiliar with any aspect of what punk was about? When I here that term I think of Serena Dank and Parents Of Punkers. If punk originally was a disparaging term pre-76/77 then punker was and always has been a joke term for punks. Certainly outside the US anyway. A bit of self respect there dudes! I'm no type of punker. But then I don't consider myself a punk either.

Punk rock "outside of the U.S." (you mean Europe, dontcha?) is a joke. Take our friends in Franceland. The best ever French attempt at punk was by fucking Gerard Depardieu on one of those Fake Punk comps. We're not rewriting history here. Punks, punkers, punkies (Australia), punkys (Mexico), punkos (Papua New Guinea), les punks du rocque etc are all valid and acceptable in 2016. As for you, you sound like a herbert:
Herbert - that was another Garry Bushell invention. Jeez - do people use that term today? I hope so - I really hope so.
