fonzie holds up

There is this dude that works at my post office that has 2 thumbs on one hand, I call him Fonzie. He calls me Neck. We're in love possibly.
Two? How? Where?

They stick out on one side where it's at but split like a wish bone with 2 tiny thumbs. Heeeeeeeeeeey!

Velcro and Nelson, book about it coming this Summer - preorder at my GoFundMe.

Is he more evolved, less-evolved, or something else? Are there things he can do that us One Thumbers can't? I'm serious.

He can probably light 2 lighters in the same hand and also has a wicked curve ball.

Thanks for the suggestions user: meh, I'm excited to check out those bands. I just wanted to add that my friends from anarcho-punk band Kalashnikov have been to Yakutsk on tour and they came back with the wildest stories. They were the first non-Russian band to play there in 10 years or so. That place is fucked up and the punk scene is uniquely great. Their tour diary is in Italian but you can watch the photos here: http://kalashnikov-collective.blogspot.it/2015/08/benvenuti-alla-quarta-puntata-del.html

Yeah, man! My bud Denis was their tour driver. Lots of crazy stuff and broken van parts. Hope Denis will release a comic book based on tour with Kalashnikov, he already did two small comic book about touring with other bands. https://www.facebook.com/gazelleofdeath/

i want to know who the person that wrote that quote was.
I sure do hope you don't wanna find him and end his life.
UPD: Well, he lives in Moscow so it would be hard to kill him. His name is Ian and he plays in this band: https://phenolhouse1.bandcamp.com/album/muted-applause-ep
This Russian shit has got some wild guitars. Cyrillic tuning?

Meh just keeps coming correct! You ain't no Fonzie- this sounds fresh. This is some Chachi Jr. shit! Keep the good stuff coming!
I heard the "chachi" name when I watched Trailer Park Boys and it was said to the cop, so I'll take it as an insult. And I have zero understanding of what my next step should be. I feel like I'm being interrogated by officer in the dark room full of lube and bottle-shaped objects. Wish you could just kick my ass without those mind games, sir.

Hey just keep playing music and don't be to concerned with termbo. The younger trolls and us "older" folk on life support. I'll echo Kevin its cool that Russian kids are posting on termbo at all. Also i think AO in his wild ways was trying to be welcoming there at the end.

What current Russian bands would you suggest to someone who has no clue what is going on?
Well, the thing is, I count Termbo as the only reliable music forum (well along with Electical Audio forum). I may not post here often (my english sucks and I don't want to feel ashamed every time I post; I do anyway, though) but read almost every topic when I was working a shitty ass office job and all the users are cool and all the cultural heritage lest by users is awesome.

There's not so much of punk things going on in Russia, considering the amount of population, but I can name some names. I don't like some russian hardcore bands that consist of people from metal and youth crew bands who started chugging beer and play boring music while beating people up while onstage because "dude from hoax did so" so that'll cut a huge piece of the scene and will name some bands that I really enjoy.

As I said above, Phenolhouse from Moscow ( https://phenolhouse1.bandcamp.com/album/muted-applause-ep ) is really fucking good. Dudes love minutemen (they owe me a song for minutemen tribute album that I try to compile), nomeansno and so on. Haven't seen them live yet but my bud says it's menacing.

Power of Poison, consisting of guys from Minefield (http://terminal-boredom.com/forums/index.php?topic=35507.msg651892#msg651892) relocated to Saint Petersburg and started playing some kind of motorhead-esque hardcore punk. I burned my jeans jacket on me when I got drunk at their show. https://gearsthatturn.bandcamp.com/album/motorpower-ep

Grave Disgrace - I'm not a huge fan of their music but it's pretty unlikely that you'd ever see a person rocking a Saint Vitus shirt in Russia. I did see and he plays bass there. Heavy and long songs with a brilliant drumming. https://gravedisgrace.bandcamp.com/

It's rarely when russian band blowing my brains up. But when I heard Gizmo record, my mom told me to clean my room. Sound quality is pretty fucking bad and it makes good songs sound even better. https://gizmokaka.bandcamp.com/album/s-t

Lactic Acid was pretty fun live. I was way too high, probably, but I loved the psychotic sound. Band plays on some ridiculous festivals (if you ever stumble upon the term "new russian wave" keep yourself away from listening to any band that is tagged like that. https://lacticacid.bandcamp.com/album/your-body-is-full-of-lactic-acid

Панк Фракция Красных Бригад plays artsy commie punk with strong and funny working class lyrics and I almost had my leg broken in the pit. https://pfkb77.bandcamp.com/album/1-2017

Бакурли is a noisy hardcore band from the state of Karelia which was famous for its strong straight edge scene in the beginning of 2000's.
https://bakurli.bandcamp.com/album/--2

The Yakutia republic is a remote place in the middle of nowhere and you can get there only by plane. Local hardcore kids are the most productive in the country though and Oblaka is amazing (Vila Gash cover, yummy!) https://youthofnorth.bandcamp.com/album/hard-core-tape-2017

BOLO is powerviolence band that exists for a ridiculous amount of time for a pw band. After some member changes and additions they've released an album full of prog-rock elements and crazy music. https://boloisart.bandcamp.com/album/warriors-of-peace

Disregard the silly cover art, this all-female band plays great girly songs (love for them is almost personal since guys from my band dating with two of this band's members) https://daughtershand.bandcamp.com/album/--2

Uhh I got too tired after writing all that, I almost feel nauseous. If i think of something else, I'll add more. Thanks for you interest.
Always yours, Fonzi-Chachi, haha.

whoaah. thanks for posting!!

These Petlya recordings are really running at my speed. Maybe this collusion business wasn't such a bad idea after all

Haha...I love it, especially later in the summer!
Although, as a resident old fart, who grew up on but does not listen to that much hardcore now...Petlya have a great kind of shambling quality that sets them apart...but it also makes me think I need to listen to No Trend and Spike in Vain more...

Supposed to be a lot of Russians in Vietnam, where I live, but I never ever meet any. Really really want to get some straight scoop on contempo Russia so the punk insight is very welcome indeed...I mean thanks...

Dear people, I'm seriously glad to read all this positive feedback on our record. We've been desperately trying to find a record label to get released outside of Russia, with no luck at all. Hope it would help us now. Usually we did presses of 30 tapes giving em to friends and unlucky bystanders.

Oh man, be careful with your wishes. Seeing a lot of russians will make you think you got teleported to Tromaville.

I woke up at 1pm and I feel like I have enough power to drop more russian bands for you delight.

More friends, more Karelia - Хвойная Вязь from Petrozavodsk plays dark post-hardcore and it's such a pleasure to see them live since deliver a lot of energy and act cool on stage. https://hvoinayavjaz.bandcamp.com/releases

Bong Rips last release was one of the coolest things that were released in 2015. Almost got released on Slovenly but something didnt work out enough. Sloppy garage punk duo with drummer singing. Too bad they broke up and started playing music separately which I don't like that much. https://krapivakarelia.bandcamp.com/album/--4

Wall of pure noise and rock-n-roll dirge delivers Mindscrapes from Murmansk (remote place near the Finnish and Norwegian border, my hometown and the place I love with all my heart!). Reminds me a mix between Brainbombs and Kilslug. A bit.

Пламя ( https://plamya.bandcamp.com/releases ) plays fast metallic hardcore punk with great lyrics. Our vocalist sings here as well.

Other band of our vocalist which is nor around anymore, unfortunately. I gave myself a word to not miss any of their shows, and kept my word. One of the finest northwest russian bands that ever existed. Bass and drums psychodelic punk duo. Gr.Ob. (I know people here love Letov's art) and Flipper covers included. https://smola.bandcamp.com/album/--2

Поспишь Потом from Nizhny Novgorod started with covering good punk songs adding their own lyrics. But their last work is hella cool (own songs, only one Short Days cover) and too bad they won't come to saint-petersburg to play in near future due to some crazy fight with local hardcore knuckleheads. https://pospishpotom.bandcamp.com/album/-

More Moscow! Stresshold is a female-fronted band with feminist lyrics and blast of raging garage punk songs. https://stresshold.bandcamp.com/album/2016

Oookay, gotta visit the pharmacy. See you later! Enjoy music.
