Cheap Time "Handy Man" 45 -

"Handy Man" is great, but the b-side "Wildlife" - HOLY SHIT!!!! I was a fan of the first Cheap Time single, but I'm on board the Cheap Time hype wagon in a big way now!!!! Damn, what a catchy song!

Yeah, I've been a fan of that one for a long time.

Especially when the Quick released it and called it 'Play Time.'

Yeah, and "Over Again" off their upcoming LP= "Don't You Want It".

Listening-
Velvet Underground "live at the Gymnasium"
"Pillows & Prayers" comp
Ennio Morricone
When I first heard it I thought they were covering Dont you Want It".  Then the vocals came in and I was confused.  It still a good album though

i really dont want to cause any trouble. theyre my friends and i like the band but it really does bother me how closely the songs border on plagiarism. most people who buy the album wont catch it at all probably but fans of the bands will know.

i felt the same way when they redid red kross songs.

theres a few milk n cookies rips as well. "rabbits make love" is one of the more obvious ones.

i really love alot of the bands they site as influences and i just wish someone would use them as an influence without directly copying parts of the songs. if they were on a major label they would surely be in hot water.

that milk n cookies song is amazing, one of my fav of them

on the other hand... i prefer by far handy man

Edgar Broughton Band- Wasa Wasa CD

for the very first time, although I had already heard the opening "Death Of An Electric Citizen" and "Evil" off my much-listened-to copy of A Bunch Of 45s (which I tried unsuccessfully to made a CDR of last night); this CD just arrived in the mail and it sounds awesome, at least as good as Sing Brother Sing (which arrived last week)

im listening to stupid teenagers in my basement with very limited talent playing what is pretty much just noise, they have some vague idea of starting a band but never get past the excitement of being able to play very loud.  so yeah, listening to kids playing 2 or 3 different songs than each other all at the same time, at a volume loud enough to shake my whole fucking house.  not exactly what id like to be doing, but they pay me for it, so fuck it.
