Sucks, first punk song I heard after The Pistols was "Orgasm Addict" and first full length a bought was "Singles". A cool dude, a great songwriter. RIP.

Always loved Buzzcocks, but his second solo album is the one that hit me the hardest over the years. He wasn't that old, but he also wasn't that young and appears to have lived a pretty full and interesting life. The importance of his contribution to culture not just as punk pioneer and songwriter, but as an explicitly bisexual songwriter will only grow in recognition.

I reckon because Buzzcocks were my first real punk exposure then I always knew punk is (or should be) queer music... which is a great first thing to learn.

I thought I kind of moved past Buzzcocks for a long time but put on Singles Going Steady a few months ago and was re-impressed just how damned good it is.

Really sad, Heaven And Sea was one of the first punk cassettes I bought when I was a teen
