Mykel Board must have had at least one where he name-checked MRR but this was basically directed at the mag...

There's a dumb (i'm sure any song posted that fits this category is going to be terrible and moronic by definition) but musically ripping Government Warning song that kenny wrote after someone penned a Dear MRR complaining about him saying the "homos" line when they covered a terrible descendents song - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55dylYBppvQ

IIRC it was funny at the time because it was faux outrage on faux outrage - the song is about "political correctness ruining punk" or some horseshit doug stanhope via darby concept, and the letter writer was obviously (to us) more offended by Government Warning being rude dickheads - the author(s) played in some grind band (an xNAMEx band) that jumped on this house show in Raleigh and was forced to play last. GW, knowing the crowd would leave as soon as they finished and having some spite towards said band, played every fucking song they had (it was first time they played the great "arrested", i think) and then lazily pulled 5-10 cover requests from the audience with copious amounts of time in between songs - brandon even broke his kick pedal at some point and borrowed another one to keep going. it was so belligerent and stupid and funny to witness, and then the MRR letter didn't mention the true legitimate personal reasons to hate them, just how much of an atrocity it was that they repeated the bigoted words of the notorious MILO (which i agree, are terrible, misogynist, and embarrassing. the descendents are a blight).

Check out this dummy. MRR still sends Damo Root into an ever lovin' tizzy!

His humblebrags about seeing the Bosstones and Orange 9mm as a pre-teen are golden.

Tim Yo would mop the floor with this here poser... love to see Mariam bump into this goof and set him right.

Right/left claims to 80's HC punk are big the last few years. Gavin McGuiness/The Proud Boys are an example: huge Black Flag/Misfits fans who feel the music belongs on the right.

I'm seeing this shit more and more in MGTOW content I see: some guys are trying to bring it to the far right, some argue it's liberal. Becoming more and more of a thing.

Incels are also fighting about what side the group belongs on.

Anyways, way off topic, but interesting article. Seems like some OLD shit to still be complaining about a little over a year ago.

Gavin McGuiness*/The Proud Boys**

These deadbeat dads** haven't been to a real DIY gig in decades. Besides, I highly doubt these goofs HC bonafidos. Gavin was in some third rate poser band, not Genetic Control or The Nils.

Look, the lead singer of BCT heroes Eat The Rich is the Lush Rimjob of Bakersfield!

This shit was never cool for JV Hannitys and Michael Savages. Revisionist HIStory.

Because... there's no greater symbol of right wing politics than a BLACK FLAG. For fuck's sake.

War is Peace.

Gavin is a lame trad con with a wife and kids, so he likes to hype up his HC past to make "Rebel Media look "edgy". Or maybe he thinks it turns Laura Southern on.

Also: 120 Minutes alterna host Kennedy is now a Fox News contributor.

Hipster Republican shit has been going on for awhile now.
