2019 veering to a close and only three pages in. Wishing that David Nance Mind Meld LP to materialise.

Any other recommendations? Bremen didn't do much for me. Drose got a reish for those who missed it the first time.

Vivien Styg: Rose of Texas (EP came out in 2018 but only caught up this year). LP supposedly coming on Tall Texan this year? (https://viviennestyg.bandcamp.com/)

Bill Orcutt Odds against tomorrow (Melodies and less chaos somehow is even better than before. Favorite LP of the year).

ISS Alles 3rd Gut

Mdou Moctar Illana The Creator (Inconceivably these guys have played in Chicago about 4 times over the last year and half. Great every time)

whaat this Chubby And The Gang song got me back into modern punk rock: https://staticshockrecords.bandcamp.com/track/all-along-the-uxbridge-road

static shock come good again. I'm sure the band member have been in many other good bands I suspect.
I saw them last night, they def got the 1980s skinhead look down. the static shock copies were all sold out but they had a few US press... it is on Goner i was surprised to see! must be doing pretty well they have sold a fair few

It’s Charlie from Crown Court and Arms Race. Chubby LP coming out soon is even better than the single

yeh i had a quick chat while buying the single, they said they were rerecording the single tracks.... was a good show... he nailed the harmonica solo ha

i guess charlie is the singer? i dunno where he found the rest of the band but it really seemed like he beamed them back from a 1980s episode of Grange Hill, it was uncanny!

Looking back now, guess I haven't bought a ton of current releases this year, but these all stand out:

-King Blood--Hocus Focus
-Cowboys--Bottom of a Rotten Flower
-Slump--Flashbacks from Black Dust Country--really goddamn good
-Chronophage--Prolog for Tomorrow--Late 2018, technically, but still
-USA/Mexico--Matamoros--Kind of one-note, but this is a fucking monster

Also have only had it a few days, but really digging the Chinese Restaurants LP, even more than I expected.
