RIP Genesis P-Orridge

 Sad news

TG was an especially important band and I always viewed Gen as a true rebel. Pretty bummed to hear this :(

RIP

Unsurprising, given h/er struggles with leukemia over the past couple years, but no less of a bummer. RIP to a true fucking legend.

R.I.P., indeed.

Actively weirder than fuck before most of us were even kinda sorta weird on purpose or even on accident.

Found that Re/Search industrial handbook thing when I was a pup and it blew my mind.

TG, Mark Pauline, Z’ev, pre-internet world...thanks for everything.

Never really listen to TG or PY/TUvPY but some stuff he wrote and interviews heavily influenced me at one point, and was kinda a catalyst to go to Angkor Wat at the end of 1999, where I ended up greeting the new millennium on the grass field in front of the main temple after ingesting some lovely dried fungi. I tried listening to a little TOPY then but it was superfluous...

Love this Neil cover tho.

If you're interested, this is a great lo-fi and dirty sounding place to start.
