Fucked Up - Hidden World 8 Track

I was just informed about this through a friend recently, but have yet to come across a copy that was decently priced (i saw one on ebay for close to $40). Can anyone help me out on this one. I'd pay a good amount for it, just not too too much, as i'm not that financially secure at the current time.

This was limited to 75, released on a label called Welfare Records - 2 color variations, 40 of one, 35 of the other.  Sold out near instantly I guess.  Doubt you'll find one much cheaper than $40, at least with the prices their stuff is going for these days.

I wonder whats actually on that thing - I dont think there's anyway the whole LP could fit on an 8-track.

It wouldn't be hard, with the right equipment, to make your own Fucked Up 8 track. Just record over some old 8 tracks, and voila!

Really underrated format, too. I realized how much I really love Brownsville Station when I obtained the "Yeah" 8 track! Good, good album.

i saw a copy of this at a local record store for $18.99, and it almost inspired me to start a thread here asking why in the fuck it would cost so much. i still haven't heard it, but i think i'm gonna buy it. especially since if i don't like it i can apparently double my money ebaying it.

You saw the 8 track at a store around here!?  Or the vinyl version?  The vinyl is a double LP, so 18.99 is about right, its pretty common though, so you wont make any profit on Ebay. 

Ridiculously priced things I've seen in Chicago lately - "Killed By Trash" comp LP for $29 at Reckless - Cows "Sexy Pee Story" LP for $50 at Permanent.

Nardwuar Records was also releasing 8-track tapes for quite awhile.  I think you can still get some Evaporators albums on 8 Track format.  According to Nardwuar, there's a couple of manufacturers that still make them, new 8 track tapes.  Is there a part of the world (Africa, Asia?) that still uses them?

Someone post the track listing of this when they get their hands on it.  No way a 72 minute album fits on one tape.
