i dont think shits gonna escalate like that.  even though he's getting more popular itll take more time for prices to jump.  we might see a brief jump from the hype but it wont last.   ive actually noticed that black lips records arent selling for as much as they used to.  they went up for a while and then settled back down.

You think the Black Lips are just now leaking onto the college kid radar?? I'm in HIGH SCHOOL and have already been picking up a "buzz" about them among the grade school hipsters. (Nothing about Jay Reatard at all though, interestingly enough.)
So what if they're the new "hot" band? Don't really care. Better them than the awful radio shit everyone's listening to now.

I wish other kids at my school knew about these guys. I've told some of my friends about the Black Lips, but I don't think any of them like them.

my friends who listen to almost nothing but pantera and related side projects know how to play many play black lips songs on the guitar and have also purchased actual black lips records.  my other friend who only likes sports also enjoys the music of the black lips.  hes 19, drives a ford explorer, and plays golf regularly.
