Arrested Development rules. Season one was beyond amazing. Season two started off strong and then started to drop off at the end. And so far I haven't been too impressed with season three (although I've missed a couple, and this show is really helped with the DVD format allowing you to watch all of 'em in quick sucession).

I'm back on a Curb Your Enthusiasm kick (got some for Christmas) and am loving it. Also, I'm just going through Freaks and Geeks for the first time and am surprised that a show like this was ever on NBC.

As far as movies go, I re-watched Crumb last week for the bazillionth time. I love that movie. It jacks up my cynicism level a lot, which makes it a perfect Christmas time movie.  I've been watching that Devo video comp which is also pretty cool. And I just watched The 40 Year Old Virgin and thought it sucked hard.

Freak and Geeks was so good you just knew it was doomed while it was on the air. All of the Media Play chainstores arounf here are going out of business, so DVDs are all like 40% off, so I've been blowing some money. Lots of Japsloitation stuff (Got the nice reissues of Female Yakuza Tale and Sex & Fury, with commentary by none other than Chris D. himself). Got the T.Rex Born to Boogie set which I havent watched yet. Cleaned up on some Seventies B-movies, of which I watched 'White Lightning' and 'Gator' back-to-back last night. Burt Reynolds' best stuff for sure, but White Lightninig is the far superior film, although Jerry Reed in 'Gator' might be on of the best hillbilly-as-slick-gangster performances ever. That guy was good. Also picked up the Raquel Welch rollerderby flick 'Kansas City Bomber' which sucked bad. I mean, how can you fuck up a movie with Racquel Welch and rollerblading in it? I dunno, but they did. Stay far away. Bought a lot of classic gore on the cheap too: Dead Alive, Street Trash, a shitload of HG Lewis, Tourist Trap, blah blah blah

Anyone remember an older TV show (like 10 years ago maybe) called American Gothic?

Todd, I think the movie yer talking about is called Filthy Dirt Love or somethin like that...it was pretty decent.

I saw King Kong last Friday...not as bad as I thought I would be....way too fuggin long though

Watched Battle Royale on Saturday and while a great movie, it confirmed to me that Japs are some cwazy fuckers.

Freeway was ok, kind of a modern twisted version of Little Red Riding hood....cameltoe.

battle royale 1 is very funny, the second part is fuckin bad... on the second some parts are incredible, you can't understand what you are watching

two days ago i saw monstruos s.a on the tv, also funny. i usually like those computer cartoon films.

I remember very little about American Gothic. Wasn't it about vampires in some small town?

I got Wild Zero for christmas, but I haven't watched it yet.

I need to hit up the Media Play in Appleton in a couple weeks when prices go down even more. I bought Three's Company season 2 there for a decent price. Other stuff was still a lil' pricey though.

Freaks and Geeks rules. I think the A-Frames managed to watch the whole box set when they came to town.

My sister got Freaks and Geeks for her birthday last year.  She got in on friday and we had watched every episode by sunday afternoon.  That really is one of the great tv shows.

Has anyone seen Undeclared? I'm guessing it's not as good as Freaks and Geeks.

Rich...the actual movie that bolan and Ringo made  on the DVD is pretty asinine but it's worth it for the live concert and other music footage.

I think I might whip it out tonight. And probably watch the T.Rex DVD too. Has anyone ever seen the Iggy Live in LA Target Video? They had that, but it looked kinda dodgy. Its from when he has Clem Burke in his band and he does Stooges and solo stuff. I hid it in case I need to go back for it, but I wasnt sure of it.

I heard that show was really good, but it was in the Big Takeover so you might want to take that with a grain of salt. I'd buy it if it was on sale cheap though.

I've had the "Born To Boogie" DVD for a while & it's fucking great.  Welllll worth the 19 bucks it costs!  And there's not much to the 'actual movie', it's just little skits thrown in between live concert footage.. The fact that it's 'asinine' is what makes it hilarious... T-Rex dressed as vampires eating cherries?  I love that DVD... Anybody who isn't a 'tard should pick it up.

I watched "Flame," that Slade flick, for the first time the other night.  It was pretty OK.

Slade in Flame coulda been a much better movie. it has a lot of weird editing that fucks up the story especially towards the end. but theres some great scenes especially the "those kinda monkeys cant swing" performance and the ocean radio tower hijacking.

i bought Bill Hicks Sane Man dvd yesterday and its great. best comedian ever. it just kinda sucks that most of the stuff they put out by him has the same material in em.
