Thought of this thread today when I was record shopping.  Came across the Soft Boys 1976-81 double disc on Ryko.  Assumed I could get more selling it than the $9 I paid.  Looks like it goes for an average of $25 to $35.  Not bad at all.  But I like the Soft Boys.  Ahh, screw it.  I'll just rip it and sell.

DAMN!
The CD!?! The vinyl record goes for 100$ - I don't get it.

100$? I'm thinking more like 15-30$

Tad CD's go for a lot of money apparently.  The Salt Lick/God's Balls CD is being sold on Half.com for like $75-$100.  That's ridiculous.  There's gotta be tons of that CD around.

Meanwhile, the Infrared Ridinghood CD, which has been OOP since weeks after it came out is only like $5 or something.

I sold some OOP Nomeansno CDs on At for $50+ a while back. The Cows "Old Gold" CD on AmRep usually tops $50 or so too. A lot AmRep CDs have been peaking in the $30 range lately. By best CD sale was some Tortoise collection for $125 or so years ago.

Don't forget the silly Peacetika CD that went for over $100.

I just saved a Halo Of Flies CD from are $1bins yesterday. Fools.

Killdozer goes quick for $20 at work...who knows on the web?

Unsane Live in Japan CD I bought in a cut out bin went for $60 something a few years back.

The Story of THEM 2xCD set is easy $50-$75 right now. I sold a scuffed copy for $50+ and the guy was happy.

My dad's got that 'Story of Them' double cd and probably never listens to it due to bein swamped by new CD reissues of rare pych and acid folk... I shouldnt have returned it when I borrowed it.

Isn't that Crisis 'We are all German Jews' double-cd worth quite a lot?

Anything on Man's Ruin, ANY format, gets money except the obviously crap stuff. And even the singles that were bargain binners for years can occasionally top $20 now.

They've never been to a record store and seen the piles of this thing in the dollar bin?

COC "Eye For An Eye" is a consistent $30-40 seller, and occasionally upwards of $60. Also somewhat common, hence my mention. Definitely gone through a few of those.

My personal WTF of eBay CD selling was the "World's Finest Hardcore" CD boot of Neos/Necros/Sick Pleasure/Clitboys/etc. 7"s for $138.
